Walk In Centre
|Day||Opens - Closes|
|Please call in advance towards the end of session times to check availability|
Hawthorn Medical Centre provides a walk in service each day to patients of local practices as well as those who are visiting the area. Walk in appointments are available during opening hours for patients who need acute medical treatment. Appointments cannot be pre-booked in advance, so in order to be seen patients have to present at reception, complete a quick form and then wait to be seen.
The walk-in service is staffed by GPs and Nurse Practitioners. You may not always be seen by a Doctor, but will be seen by an appropriate health professional. Appointments are generally given on a first come, first served basis however this is up to the Doctors discretion depending on clinical need or should an emergency occur. You should be made aware of any unforseen circumstances which may increase waiting times.
Walk-in sessions run throughout the day but please call in advance to check availability, particularly towards the end of surgery time. If we cannot see you, we will direct you to an alternative NHS service to get you the treatment and advice you may need.
