Walk In Centre
Urgent treatment for patients of any GP practice
Our NHS Walk In Service is available for patients of any GP practice who need urgent treatment.
We offer a service to patients who are not registered with our practice, to allow them to be seen by a clinician who can diagnose and treat common ailments without having to wait for their own GP.
If you call us regarding one of these issues, you will be asked to speak to your regular GP, or to call 111, or to go to A&E.
Accessing the Walk In Centre
To access our service, call us on 0161 220 6080.
In the first instance you will be offered a phone call or video consultation, with either a GP or a prescribing nurse. If they feel it is necessary to see you in person, they will invite you in, but there are lots of things our clinicians can do over the phone, and they may send a prescription to the chemist for you to collect.
You do not need to be registered with us to access this service, and the record of your consultation will be sent to your regular GP.
We operate on a first come first serve basis, although we will try to give you an indication on how long your wait might be.
